Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need to pay a security deposit?
Yes. You are still required to leave a security deposit when collecting your rental car, even if Full Damage Protection with Excess Reimbursement & Breakdown Cover is included in your booking. As usual, the deposit will be pre-authorised on your credit card. Therefore, it is important that the main driver, whose name appears on the booking, brings a credit card in their own name with sufficient available credit to cover the deposit amount. You must present a physical credit card. Please also make sure you know your credit card PIN, as it may be required in some cases. We recommend reading the rental conditions regarding the security deposit and credit card requirements before collecting your vehicle.

The representative at the local rental company says I need to purchase additional insurance from them. Do I need to accept this?
No, you do not need to purchase any additional cover from the local rental company. Please note that local rental agents offer their own insurance products and services. If your booking includes our Full Damage Protection with Excess Reimbursement & Breakdown Cover, there is no need to purchase additional excess reduction or waiver products locally. In the event of damage, you can simply submit a claim to us for reimbursement of the excess.
